1. Clear Cache / Browsing Data
- Open Chrome.
- Click the three-dot menu (top right) → Delete browsing data (or press
Ctrl+Shift+Delete). - Select the Advanced tab.
- Set Time range to All time.
- Check the boxes for:
- Browsing history
- Cookies and other site data
- Cached images and files
- Click Delete data.
- ✅ Cache clear complete
Tip: For a quick cache-only clear (keeping history/cookies), uncheck Browsing history and Cookies and other site data, leaving only Cached images and files checked.
2. Reset Chrome Browser Settings (full reset)
- Open Chrome.
- Go to
chrome://settings/reset in the address bar (or Settings → Reset settings → Restore settings to their original defaults). - Click Reset settings.
- Confirm by clicking Reset settings again in the popup.
- This will:
- Reset the homepage, new tab page, and search engine
- Unpin all tabs
- Disable all extensions
- Clear cookies, cache, and site data
- ✅ Browser reset complete
Note: A full reset does not delete saved passwords, bookmarks, or browsing history — only settings, extensions, and site data (cache/cookies).
